i...hate...college...app...essays. on plus side of things, therapist crew came through yet again. they're bloody lovely people, whether or not they realize it.

mmphl. one thing i like about LJs is that they have a build-in comment system; if i had that, blog-life would be a mite easier because the kind people who actually provide feedback could post it to my blog and it'd all be in one place for me to read, as opposed to digging through overflowing mailbox. and it makes it easier to read comments while revising. i know it's possible to do it in a blog, too, but unfortunately i lack the knowledge of how to do so. mmprhl.

::crawls back upstairs to stupid, stupid, hideous essay that's going to determine whether or not i'm going to Harvard or Cal::

columbia's looking more and more attractive, though. given cal and columbia...hard to say which one i'd pick. this is, of course, all theoretical and based on the temporary assumptions for my peace of mind that i'll get into columbia.

after shameful overindulgence in hp quizzes this weekend, will buckle down and actually work, today. have got to pump out two spectacular college app essays in the next 3 hours, then block like mad for USC and then do hw. er, i mean, do hw and then block like mad. ur. right. hmph. must also get ludi stuff done, somehow. ::sigh:: i think i'm gonna have to unplug myself from the net and go isolate myself in corner somewhere. the problem is that even if i'm off the net, there's still so much tempting stuff on my laptop to distract me - since the hp ff i read is all online and my laptop doesn't hook up to a printer at home, i save it all to my hard drive (current size of hp fanfic folder - 26.1 MB. i only started reading it towards the end of august.) and read it off laptop. i mean, i take laptop with me everywhere, so it works, no? but unfortunately, when i've got a roadblock in my essay-writing, it's so very easy to click Love Under Will or Snitch! open. and then realize a few hours later that essay is still not done. i have no willpower.
::laffs madly:: this one takes the cake...

Which fandom LJ are you? Take the test!

i suppose that i've inevitably cemented my status as fanperson by taking this quiz and then actually posting the results on my blog...::feels ashamed:: i guess this is my form of idol worship? some people drool over ...um... [insert name of famous celebrity who people drool over - tom cruise? brad-i-look-like-john-miller-pitt? angelina jolie?], and i drool over good hp fics. this feels like some sort of commodification of great writers and i'm actively participating in it - must go off and shoot self.

hmm... do not moan about lack of boyfriend, though. er, no, just moan about unrequited crush and then adamantly refuse to disclose identity of said crush. hope that will get fanpeople, though, although highly doubt it - not so much that fanpeople are good (fanpeople reviews make me puke), so much as that it would mean people are actually reading my stuff (once it's posted).

hmm...vinyl pants...that never fails to remind me of Power of Goodbye. yummy.

mmph. damn if draco doesn't look sexy in that image, though. the sketch, not the photo - tom felton as draco bothers me, as he's too happy and cheerful and smiles genuinely too often for draco. want dark!disturbed!aloof!draco. and his face isn't pointy enough. actually, when it comes to looks (i suppose how much they correspond with my idea of what the characters look like) i don't like most of the casting for the harry potter movies, aside from radcliffe. he looks a likkle too old for his age in the films, but he still looks like harry.
